Job Title: PEIMS and Attendance Clerk Substitute

Please Note: There are very limited opportunities to substitute in this capacity, it will only be if an actual employee is on a long term leave, this is not for daily subbing opportunities.

 

Primary Purpose: Substitute as a campus PEIMS or Attendance Clerk, working with the Student Information System (SIS) to meet state and local requirements.

 

Qualifications Education/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Proficient skills in data entry

Ability to maintain accurate records 

Clear communication skills and interpersonal skills, both oral and written 

Ability to follow instructions, both oral and written 

Ability to meet established deadlines 

Detail oriented, flexible, possess effective time management skills 

Work with minimal supervision 

Ability to work as member of a team 

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information

 

Experience

Data entry experience 

Previous school experience preferred

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Substitute as a campus attendance clerk or PEIMS clerk 

Follow procedures and timelines detailed in the SIS Student Procedures Manual 

Follow Administrative Procedures related to attendance and PEIMS 

Participate in the student enrollment and withdrawal process 

Perform student data entry and verification 

Participate in the grade reporting process 

Participate in the scheduling process 

Participate in the SIS audit process 

Provide support to campus staff on SIS functionality and reporting 

Perform responsibilities relating to Texas Records Exchange (TREx), TSDS Unique ID, and PET systems. 

Participate in campus attendance accounting process 

Communicate with campus staff, parents, and students 

Greet visitors, answer phones and questions while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude 

Perform other duties as assigned.
