With the district's move to a new ERP system, the district took the opportunity to renumber pay grades, eliminating pay grades that were empty and no longer in use. Pay grades have new number assignments; however, the actual pay minimums, midpoints, and maximums remain the same.

Primary Purpose:
Answer the telephone in a professional manner, direct calls to the appropriate departments, answer questions, take messages accurately and be the communicator with emergency personnel when necessary. Assist visitors, administrators, teachers, staff, and students with various requests. Work independently maintaining a positive attitude while performing various tasks in order to provide an orderly and efficient atmosphere in the front office.

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Good public relation skills to handle various situations dealing with visitors, administrators, teachers, staff and students
Flexibility to handle normal daily assignments with constant interruptions
Mobility to move to various locations within the office area
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
Experience:
Secretarial/Clerical experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answer the telephone in a professional manner linking communication with the school and the community/others.
- Greet visitors, administrators, teachers, staff, and students in a positive manner and assist them with their request/questions.
- Stay updated on current events within the school/district.
- Instruct student aides accordingly in order to perform various tasks in front office.
- Volunteer coordinator for campus.
- Assist attendance office when needed.
- Check in all campus visitors using District-approved software.
- Monitor/unlock doors to reception area for parents/students.
- Assist/Substitute for principal’s secretary.
